Several states across the USA, including Florida are very forward thinking in providing the right regulatory climate to spur a growing industrial hemp industry. Through the Florida Hemp Grow cohort we are aiming to outline best practices with approved Universities and Research Pilot Program institutions of higher learning, individuals, and business entities whom have been able to apply for permits allowing them to domestically cultivate hemp for commercial use, as long as certain criteria and guidelines are met. These include security measures, inspections by the state, submission of annual reports, as well as focusing their cultivation on research and product discovery purposes.
